[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Summer is not the only time of year to visit and enjoy the Empord\u00e0<\/strong>. Today we are going to look at the Christmas fairs and markets<\/strong> which you must not miss in the next few days.<\/p>\n

1-Porqueres:<\/strong><\/p>\n

From the 6th<\/sup> until the 8th<\/sup> of December you can visit the XXIII Christmas fair in Porqueres. Among the events you will find the collection of toys for C\u00e0ritas (a charity), a circus show, the 16th<\/sup> Fair of the Small Entrepreneur and the 7th<\/sup> meeting of the Castellers (Human Towers).<\/p>\n

2-La Bisbal d’Empord\u00e0:<\/strong><\/p>\n

One of the classics of the Christmas festivities in l\u2019Empord\u00e0 is the Fira Dol\u00e7a de la Bisbal. An event taking place on the 17th<\/sup> of December and including a variety of stands organized by entities and schools which will allow visitors to make their first Christmas purchases.<\/p>\n

3-Figueres:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Until the 5th\u00a0<\/sup>of\u00a0 January 2019\u00a0 you will be able to buy all sorts of Christmas articles, food products, Christmas plants and trees in Figueres.<\/p>\n

4-Calonge:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Calonge Christmas village will allow us to take part in many activities the following 15th<\/sup> and 16th<\/sup> of December.For example, to visit the \u00a8Christmas Gourmet market\u00a8 in Angel Guimer\u00e0 street, to enoy the Childrens’ Christmas Park and the Cagati\u00f3 (Christmas Log), apart from participating in Christmas handicraft workshop. Another must is the Living Nativity scene at Calonge Castle.<\/p>\n

5-Christmas at Palafrugell:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Apart from the Christmas fairs and markets, at Palafrugell you can enjoy the 14th<\/sup> Ice rink which will open its doors the following 14th<\/sup> of December at La B\u00f2bila at a quarter past five in the afternoon.<\/p>\n

6-It is Christmas at l’Escala:<\/strong><\/p>\n

We could not finish our journey through the Christmas fairs and markets without mentioning l\u2019Escala. Although we are closed for the holidays at Can Miquel Restaurant<\/strong> <\/a>until the first of March, we urge you to visit the Christmas market. This takes place from the 6th<\/sup> of December until the 8th<\/sup> of December in the shopping area from 10 in the morning until 8 at night.<\/p>\n

If you want to make full use of the day, stroll through Cala Montg\u00f3<\/strong> to enjoy nature and the Mediterranean<\/strong><\/a>.
