The Costa Brava hides precious and unexpected places that throughout this blog we have been discovering. In this article, we will discover another of these corners: Arco del Portitxol.<\/span><\/p>\n

Located on the Escala and very close to the well-known Ampurias Ruins, this arch is located on a beach with the same name, Playa del Portitxol.<\/span><\/p>\n

To reach this beach on foot, we must follow the direction of the Archaeological Museum of Catalunya-Empuri\u00e8s and walk along this promenade surrounded by pine trees until we reach a unique wooden staircase through which we will descend.<\/span><\/p>\n

Once on the beach of Portitxol, you can enjoy its 255 meters of fine sand, which thanks to its beauty and the quality of its services has been awarded with the <\/span>Blue Flag of the European Union.<\/b><\/p>\n

Once there, in addition to enjoying the Mediterranean Sun, its waters and the unmistakable sea breeze, you will have spectacular views of the Portitxol\u2019s arch … what more could you want?<\/span><\/p>\n

So, if you fancy a walk this is a perfect opportunity from where you can see beautiful panoramic views of the beaches, the rock formations, such as the famous rock arch that gives its name to the “portitxol” beach.<\/span><\/p>\n
