All over the world, there 38 bays that are part of a very select club. This club is none other than the “Most Beautiful Bays in the World”.<\/strong> For a bay to gain the honor of being part of them, it has to fulfill a series of requirements: As having a rich fauna and flora, be known and loved locally as national and considered as an emblem for its population.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Spain has the honor of having two bays endorsed by UNESCO<\/strong> as the most beautiful in the world. One is the Bay of Santander<\/strong>, in the Cantabrian Sea and the other is the Bay of Roses<\/strong>, located in the Mediterranean Sea, and it is in this last jewel of the Costa Brava <\/strong>that we are going to focus our post today.<\/p>\n

Bah\u00eda de Roses, a treasure of the Mediterranean Sea<\/h2>\n

Between the Cape of Creus and the Macizo of Montgr\u00ed, you will find the beautiful and immaculate Roses Bay<\/strong>. With more than 45 kilometers of beaches, 15 kilometers of coves and 50 kilometers of navigable channels, this arch-shaped bay offers vertiginous cliffs and small and intimate coves with clear and calm waters<\/strong>. Its waters are also shallow, which makes them suitable for families and for the practice of sailing sports.<\/p>\n

The municipalities of L\u2019Escala, Castell\u00f3n de Ampurias, San Pedro Pescador and Roses<\/strong> form the environment of this bay. These municipalities give to the bay their environment and their cultural, landscape and tourist values.<\/p>\n

The Bay of Roses is not only recognized for its beauty, but was also chosen for its many attractions, tourist and territorial values<\/strong>. It has been recognized for its three natural parks, the emblematic ruins of Ampurias, which has great sports offer (like sailing sports) and, of course, for the rich and wonderful gastronomy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
