What to visit in l’Escala?<\/span><\/h2>\n

Once in this municipality we recommend you to visit the <\/span>Montg\u00f3 Cove<\/b>. <\/span>This cove is located in the south of the town and guarded by two large rocky promontories<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Protected by these two large blocks of stone, it is the only beach in this area sheltered from the wind of Tramontana. Something very important if we want to enjoy a very pleasant day in a beach located in the Mediterranean Sea.<\/span><\/p>\n

In this cove, we will find <\/span>fine sand on the seashore and as we move away, the sand becomes gradually thicker.<\/b><\/p>\n

The sand originates from the constant erosion of the Montgr\u00ed mountains, which is a mountainous massif at the edge of the Mediterranean Sea. In which the continuous shock of the waves makes it a unique landscape in the Iberian Peninsula.<\/span><\/p>\n

What to do in Montg\u00f3 Cove?<\/span><\/h2>\n

You can do <\/span>much more than sunbathing and enjoy long baths in the Mediterranean Sea in this cove.<\/b><\/p>\n

If we enter the pine forest located at the southern end of the cove, taking a walk of a half hour we can reach the Montgr\u00ed. There, thanks to a <\/span>viewpoint, we can enjoy the beautiful views that this mythical cove offers us of the Mediterranean Sea.<\/b><\/p>\n

If we walk in the opposite direction, to the north of the cove, we will find an <\/span>old defense tower called: the tower of Montg\u00f3.<\/b><\/p>\n

The tower originates from 1598, the year in which King Philip II had it built with the purpose of defending all his people from the attacks of pirates coming from Africa and Turkey<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Where to eat in l’Escala?<\/span><\/h2>\n

Once in this town and <\/span>after an intense morning of tourism in l’Escala<\/b>, you will need to recover your strength and what better way to do so than with a characteristic gastronomic experience of this beautiful place.<\/span><\/p>\n
